Hey guys and girls.

Well the season is shaping up to be a really busy one with alot more to come. Last weekend was packed full of riding and partying in Queenstown. The snow was good and drinks flowed on and off the mountain. The biggest event of the weekend was the grand opening of the Burton Stash at the Remarkables. It has been being built all summer and right up until the opening day the guys at Burton and the Remarks terrain park crew have been doing an awesome job of building and then finally getting to push and shape all the snow to create an awesome array of natural man-made features. The morning kicked off with a VIP pass seesion only from 10-12 where we hit up and scoped out the place. The endless lines had many of us and myself super excited and there was something for everyone to try of all abilities. The hut and stair feature being the master piece at the end of the run was super impressive. A few of the Burton Global Team had travelled from different corners of the world to add to the flavour of the day.

Lunch, beer and live music was provided right at the hut. Instead of a ribbon cutting it was some trusty number 8 wire that was cut to offically open the Stash at 12 oclock. Rhombus played down at the base building in the afternoon to top off an awesome day at the Remarks. The weather packed in after lunch but i dont think many people cared!

The finishing touch was the after party at Barmuda in Queenstown. Naturally the celebartions continued in style! I vaguely remember filling my pockets with beers and holding on to as many vodka red bulls as i could, espically when the free bar tab was on. I thought this was a cunning plan but i soon noticed everyone else was doing the same!!! Classy!

Next weekend is the NZ Open. so i will report back then!
