This week the 2008 Burton New Zealand Open went down in history. The weather looked to make things tough but despite a little cloud it turned out to be an awesome week and riders from all over the world descended on snowpark to try their luck at sixth annual New Zealand Open! The week started out with qualifying bring the finals around for slopestlye friday day and quarter pipe friday night, followed with finals for halfpipe on saturday!

Friday saw tough competition in the Slopestyle finals for both men and ladies. The course was insanely good with the option of hitting up to seven features per run.
